Beta program

The free beta

What the free beta is, who can join, and what we ask in return.

Price: free while the beta runs. No payment method required.

Who can join: people in the United States who will speak English with their companion.

What we ask: your conversations and play sessions are recorded and used to improve and train HelloPlayer2.

What the beta is

HelloPlayer2 is new, and there is plenty we are still working on. Conversations can be uneven. A game can glitch. The beta is how we find out what works: you spend time with your player two, and we listen, revise, and try to make the next hang-out better.

While the beta runs you get the whole thing at no charge: talking out loud, a companion who remembers you, and every game and activity we have open.

Who can join

The beta is open to people in the United States who will speak English with their companion. You sign in with Google, Apple, or a link we email you. There is nothing to install.

What we ask in return

Free access is offered in exchange for research participation. We record your conversations, game sessions, ratings, and written feedback, and we use them to operate, evaluate, improve, and train the product, including training AI models. Beta features may change, break, or be withdrawn at any time. If you do not agree to this use, the beta is not for you.

The full wording is in our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Tell us what you think

The most useful thing you can do in the beta is tell us when something is off: a line that did not sound like your companion, a game that got stuck, a moment that felt wrong. Rate replies when you are asked to, and email info@similar.llc with anything bigger.

When the beta ends

Beta members keep free access until the beta officially ends. We will announce that date well ahead of time, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
